Job Description

POSITION: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - MIDWEST
Casappa is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to continue our growth while maintaining a high level of support and customer satisfaction to our business partner OEMs and distribution. We are seeking a sales manager who will be responsible for executing organizational business plans and who is a self-starter that can do so with minimal supervision. Candidate must be comfortable dealing with both commercial and technical issues while mindful of when and how to most effectively utilize company resources to achieve sales goals as defined by company management.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Under the guidance of the Director of Sales and Marketing, execute the company Business Plan defined for the respective territory
• Manage existing customer base in a specified regional territory consisting of both OEM customers and Distribution
• Combination of maintaining and growing customer relationships and depth along with a professional "hunter" type mentality to search for new sales leads and prospects in the defined strategic customer market segments
• Follow and communicate market and customer trends related to your individual region including competitive activity
• Provide timely feedback to Director of Sales & Marketing regarding customer and territory performance
• Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, sales, and activity reports required for the assigned territory
• Create and conduct professional proposal presentations and responses both internally and external
• Control individual expenses to meet budget guidelines
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
• Expectation of approximately 50% minimum travel, primarily by car
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum two-year technical degree, Bachelor technical degree preferred
• 3-10 years of experience in Direct OEM Sales, Distributor Sales
• Hydraulic, fluid power, or other mechanical/electrical industry experience preferred
• Experience with Midwest customer base and key markets
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Proficient computer skills within Microsoft office; specifically, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Managing multiple inquires and prioritize accordingly
• Self-motivated with excellent task management skills
• Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience working with an International company
• Fluency or familiarity with Italian language
• Product and/or project management experience
• Hands-on mechanical proficiency
• Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems
